Responsibilities
- Responsible for performing all assigned duties as safely and efficiently as possible to maintain a safe work environment.
- Maintains, installs and repairs all aspects of plumbing including, but not limited to, fire suppression, pool operations and maintenance, water, gas, and sanitary/storm sewer systems.
- Modifies, repairs, replaces and maintains component parts.
- Able to read and interpret Work Orders, parts requests, drawings/schematics/blueprints and manuals in order to accomplish assigned duties.
- Accomplishes periodic inspections, recurring maintenance requirements and associated documentation. Maintains systems to conform to written guidance and applicable changes.
- Maintains required operating forms and records and ensures proper use of all assigned shop equipment. Responsible for on-the-job training as required.
- Schedules work and perform quality assurance through job site visits.
- Responsible for escorting the subcontract workers, buses, and trucks to various locations.
- Performs other duties as assigned in accordance with contractual, functional and mission requirements.
- Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Plumbing Journeyman license through any U.S State.
- Backflow certification preferred.
- Must possess driver’s license with at least 1 year of remaining validity and ability to drive a Standard Transmission vehicle.
- Must possess a US Passport with at least 6 months of remaining validity.
- Must be able to obtain Common Access Card (CAC)
- Must have communication skills in English, both written and oral.
- Experience
- 1-4 years related experience.
- Skills:
- Good verbal and written communication skills to direct employees, prepare reports for upper management and facilitate/disseminate information.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment requires handling multiple tasks at a given time.
- Able to utilize computer automated systems to perform assigned duties.
